The Relic Altar is your gateway to starting the Trial of the Sekhemas with the Test of Will Barya.
1. Obtain the Test of Will Barya
Defeat Balbala, the Traitor, in Act 2’s Traitor’s Passage to receive the Test of Will Barya.
This coin is essential to unlock and initiate the Trial of the Sekhemas at a challenging difficulty setting.
2. Locate the Trial of the Sekhemas Waypoint and Relic Altar
Travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas waypoint in Act 2, near where the Trial starts.
The Relic Altar is positioned close to this waypoint, featuring slots where you place your Sekhema’s Coin and Relics.
3. Prepare Your Relics Before Trial
Collect Relics from map drops or previously completed trials.
Relics grant Boons, which are buffs and effects that enhance your survivability and damage during the trial.
Inventory management: Open your inventory at the altar.
Hold the Alt key and left-click to drag Relics onto the open slots of the altar grid (usually a 5×4 grid).
Place as many Relics as you have unlocked slots for, prioritizing those that boost Honor regeneration, resistances, and damage output.
4. Place the Test of Will Barya on the Altar
Drag the Test of Will Barya onto the designated Sekhema’s Coin slot on the altar while holding the Alt key.
This action activates the trial with the additional difficulty and reward modifiers that the coin offers.
5. Select Boons (If Applicable)
Some runs provide an option to choose between different boons or blessings related to the placed Relics.
Pick the boon that complements your build or covers your weaknesses.
6. Enter and Survive the Trial
Once activated, six portals appear for you and your party to enter the trial.
Manage your Honor health pool, avoid damage, use the Boons granted by your Relics, and clear through the trial floors.
Failure results in loss of portals, but the Test of Will Barya allows retrying by defeating Balbala again or acquiring another coin.
Tips for Efficient Use
Familiarize yourself with your chosen Relics’ effects to maximize the synergies.
Enter the trial once your gear and build can handle the increased challenge from the Test of Will Barya.
Use movement skills and damage mitigation to manage the amplified incoming damage.
Regularly upgrade or swap Relics to fit your evolving gear and playstyle.
Defeat Balbala to get the Test of Will Barya.
Go to the Trial of the Sekhemas waypoint and interact with the Relic Altar.
Place Relics on the altar using Alt + left-click drag.
Place the Test of Will Barya on the coin slot to activate the trial.
Choose boons as needed.
Enter the trial through portals and aim to survive while clearing floors.
Retries are possible by obtaining more coins and defeating Balbala again.
