The latest updates to Path of Exile 2 have introduced a substantial overhaul to the Simulacrum, adjusting its difficulty, rewards, and overall gameplay experience.

      Difficulty Adjustments and Delirium Effects

The Delirious scaling per wave in the Simulacrum has been reduced from 10% to 5%, lowering the maximum Delirious effect at Difficulty 0 from 100% to 75%, and at Difficulty 4 from 140% to 115%. This makes high-level waves somewhat less punishing while maintaining challenge.

Many Simulacrum monster modifiers have been toned down, reducing some buffs that previously made monsters overwhelmingly strong.

The overall monster life and damage scale with Difficulty remains high, pushing builds to their limits but with a smoother difficulty curve.

      Loot and Splinter Improvements

The drop rates of Simulacrum Splinters in maps have increased by 20%, making it easier to acquire the key item needed to enter the Simulacrum event.

General item drop changes decrease normal item drops from bosses and increase the frequency and quality of rare and magic items. This indirectly enhances loot quality inside Simulacrum runs.

Delirium encounters now provide about 2.5 times more item rarity per depth, improving the chance for valuable rewards.

      Quality of Life and Accessibility

The number of Corrupted Nexus completions required for Atlas Passive Trees has been reduced, with each Nexus granting 5 skill points to speed up progression.

Visibility of Corrupted Nexuses on the Atlas map has been improved.

Map boss changes ensure players encounter bosses more predictably, roughly one boss every four maps, balancing the pacing of endgame content.

      Player Feedback and Balance

Based on community input, the update addresses the “over-tuned” nature of Simulacrum, reducing some randomness and punishing mechanics that caused player frustration.

Defensive and survival buffs are more viable now because of these balance tweaks, particularly benefiting tankier builds better suited to high-tier Simulacrum.

The latest POE2 patch refines the Simulacrum by making it feel challenging yet fairer, improving splinter drop rates for easier access, and enhancing loot quality and variety. These changes streamline progression within the event while keeping the core thrill of escalating waves and powerful bosses intact. Players can expect a tougher but more balanced experience, with rewards more consistently matching the effort invested.
