JustinParticipantOmniphobia and Kosis are the two major bosses you encounter in the final waves of Simulacrum in Path of Exile 2, each with distinct mechanics that demand specific tactics to defeat them effectively.
Omniphobia — Boss Tactics
Omniphobia is aggressive and relentless, wielding an axe with a mix of melee and ranged attacks.
It repeatedly slams the ground with its axe, creating AoE zones. The key to avoid damage here is to dodge right before the axe touches the ground, using invincibility frames to evade spikes and counterattack during recovery windows.
Omniphobia also throws a powerful axe slash projectile with significant damage. To dodge this, move out of its line of sight when it spins and faces away from you.
When preparing for its “vomit” attack—a wide projectile barrage—watch for red bubbles forming above its head, then dodge towards its side when it lifts its head to avoid damage.
Continuous bleeding damage from some attacks means equipping items or passives that reduce bleeding damage or provide immunity is helpful.
Maintaining mobility to avoid ground AoE and to reposition quickly is vital against Omniphobia’s fast, punishing moves.
Kosis — Boss Tactics
Kosis blends physical, elemental (fire, lightning, cold), and chaos damage with area denial abilities.
It teleports frequently, performs melee strikes applying Corrupted Blood on hit, and has ranged attacks like fireballs and lightning orb projectiles.
One deadly move is the leap attack with a high AoE burst that can one-shot players if caught off guard. Avoid staying too far to prevent triggering the leap explosion but also avoid close melee hits frequently.
Kosis channels a “Demon Beam” that creates a dangerous Death Zone, which lowers your movement speed and applies damage-over-time effects. Interrupt the beam by depleting Kosis’s energy shield quickly to mitigate this threat.
It leaves behind Ice Orbs that explode into damaging ice spikes; managing these by controlled detonations helps maintain safe positioning.
Stick relatively close to Kosis to avoid the most devastating teleportation attacks triggered by distance.
Positioning and situational awareness are crucial to dodge overlapping attacks and avoid chaos pools or lightning ground effects.
General Tips for Both Bosses in Simulacrum Final Waves
Stay mobile and learn the timing of their attacks to dodge effectively.
Use defensive layers like high armor/evasion, chaos resistance, block, spell suppression, and ailment immunity (bleed, chill, shock).
Manage flasks carefully, ensuring you have instant recovery and anti-ailment flasks ready.
Practice awareness of ground hazards, projectiles, and boss animations to anticipate and react to attacks.
When both bosses spawn together, focus on separating them and burst down the bigger threat first to reduce incoming damage sources.
Mastering these tactics will significantly improve your survivability and efficiency when facing Omniphobia and Kosis in the Simulacrum’s most punishing waves.
