Deadly Fate is one of three essential fragments you need to unlock the Trialmaster, one of the most challenging bosses in Path of Exile 2. These fragments are obtained in the Trial of Chaos, a trial-based challenge found in Act 3’s Vaal Jungle.
The Trial of Chaos consists of multiple rounds of waves filled with monsters and bosses. By completing 10 rounds successfully, you face a randomly chosen boss from three possibilities at the final round. Defeating Bahlak, The Sky Seer, during the 10th round awards you the Deadly Fate fragment. The other two fragments—Cowardly Fate and Victorious Fate—come from the other two possible bosses.
As a beginner, understand that getting Deadly Fate may require multiple tries, as the boss and thus the fragment drop is random. Improving your character’s build with a focus on survivability, mobility, and area damage will help clear the Trial of Chaos faster and more effectively.
