JustinParticipantThe Simulacrum is one of the most challenging and rewarding endgame encounters in Path of Exile 2, designed as a wave-based gauntlet that tests the limits of your character’s build.
Fast-Tracking Access to Simulacrum
To gain access, players need to collect 300 Simulacrum Splinters, which drop primarily from monsters in Delirium-influenced maps with high monster density, such as Burial Chambers or Strand.
Using atlas passive skills or map modifiers can increase the chances of splinter drops.
Once enough splinters are gathered, combine them into a Simulacrum item.
The Simulacrum item can be placed in the Realmgate on the Atlas to open portals leading to the encounter zone, typically the Clearfell Lumbermill.
Simulacrum Mechanics Overview
The encounter consists of 15 escalating waves of Delirium monsters packed with tough modifiers that increase damage, resistances, and special effects.
The arena changes between waves, ranging from spacious open areas to narrow corridors, requiring adaptability.
Two main bosses, Kosis, the Revelation and Omniphobia, Fear Manifest, appear randomly during later waves, offering intense single-target challenges.
Survival is dependent on strong area damage, evasion, life/energy shield sustain, and efficient movement.
Tips for Quick Success
Build or gear for high area damage and defense, particularly evasion or energy shield to mitigate overwhelming attacks.
Keep mobile using skills like Flame Dash or Dash to evade attacks and reposition quickly.
Utilize flasks that remove debilitating ailments and consider carrying Omens of Resurgence to restore health and energy shield.
Manage inventory between waves to prioritize picking up high-value loot since items vanish at wave start.
Focus on killing minions rapidly while saving boss attention for the final stages of the wave.
Rewards
High-quality loot including Distilled Emotions (a valuable crafting currency), rare crafting materials, and unique items drop throughout the waves.
Completing all waves grants valuable skill points and exclusive gear for build progression.
Focusing on efficient splinter farming, preparing a strong AoE and defensive build, and mastering arena movement will fast-track your access and success in battling Kosis, Omniphobia, and surviving the Simulacrum gauntlet for unmatched rewards in Path of Exile 2.
