The FDA has authorized Ivermectin pills to treat intestinal strongyloidiasis and onchocerciasis, both of which are caused by parasitic worms. Furthermore, several topical ivermectin formulations have been licensed for the treatment of external parasites such as head lice and skin disorders such as rosacea.
Ivermectin for Humans is an efficient antiparasitic medication that treats a variety of intestinal parasites (strongyloidiasis, ascariasis, trichuriasis, and ancylostomiasis), ectoparasites (scabies, larva migrans, myiasis, and so on), filariasis, and onchocerciasis. Ivermectin has a favorable safety profile.
These efforts resulted in the approval of ivermectin for human use, which was introduced for therapeutic purposes in the late 1980s. Ivermectin was initially used to treat onchocerciasis, also known as river blindness, and has since become the preferred treatment for a variety of parasitic illnesses.
